NEW Cooperative Scholarship Applications Available!

NEW Cooperative and the NEW Cooperative Foundation will again be awarding $2,000 scholarships to local students pursuing a degree and career in agriculture. The primary goal of the scholarship program is to encourage area youth to prepare for a career in agriculture. The scholarship program is designed to provide financial assistance to dependents of NEW Cooperative members and full-time employees. Recipients will be selected by an independent committee and selections will be based on outstanding leadership potential and interest in pursuing a future career in agriculture.
Applicants must be a full-time student whom has been accepted into a college program that offers an agricultural degree, or a two-year transferable agriculture program to go on and major in an agriculture curriculum at another college. Each application submitted should also include an official high school or college transcript, and one letter of recommendation.
Scholarship applications must be submitted by March 9, 2012 to Afton Holt, Communications Specialist, 2626 1st Ave. S, Fort Dodge, IA 50501 or aholt@newcoop.com.
